Privacy Policy

PlayNeon collects no personal data about you. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no cookies. The only information stored is your own best score, kept in your browser on your own device. This policy is set out in the order of GDPR Article 13 so it can be checked item by item.

Last updated:

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for playneon.fun is PlayNeon, operating from Pakistan. There is no data protection officer, because the scale and nature of processing described below does not require one.

For any question about this policy or about your rights, contact playneonmind@gmail.com or use the contact page. Enquiries are answered within 30 days.

2. What is processed, why, and on what legal basis

Two things, and only two. Neither involves you giving us anything.

DataPurposeLegal basis
Server request logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestampDelivering pages, diagnosing errors, and protecting the site against abuse and denial-of-service trafficLegitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) — operating and securing the service. No web server can deliver a page without processing the request that asked for it.
Your best scores and game progress, in your browser’s local storageShowing you your own best score the next time you playNot a transfer of personal data to us at all — the values stay on your device and are never transmitted. See section 5 on why no consent banner is required.

There is no analytics, no advertising identifier, no tracking pixel, no fingerprinting, no email capture, no account and no profiling. There is no automated decision-making of any kind, so Article 22 does not apply.

3. Who receives your data

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which acts as a processor and handles the server logs described above on our behalf. No other party receives anything, because there is nothing else to send: every page on this site loads exclusively from playneon.fun and makes zero third-party requests. Nothing is sold, shared or disclosed for advertising.

4. International transfers

The hosting provider operates a global edge network, so a request is served from — and briefly logged at — a location near you. That means log data may be processed outside your own country, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the provider’s Standard Contractual Clauses and its associated transfer safeguards.

5. Cookies, and why there is no banner

This site sets no cookies at all. It uses local storage for one purpose: keeping your best score on your own device.

Consent banners are required for storage that is not strictly necessary for a service the user explicitly requested. Storage used solely to remember your own score in the game you chose to play falls inside the strictly-necessary exemption in ePrivacy Article 5(3), so no consent is required and no banner is shown. That will remain true for as long as this site carries no advertising and no analytics; if either ever changes, this policy and the site will change with it, in the same release.

You can delete the stored scores at any time by clearing site data for playneon.fun in your browser settings. Doing so resets your best scores and nothing else, because nothing else is stored.

6. How long data is kept

  • Server logs: kept for up to 30 days for diagnostics and abuse protection, then deleted.
  • Local scores: kept on your device until you clear site data. They are under your control, not ours, and we have no copy.
  • Emails you send us: kept only as long as needed to answer you, then deleted.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EU, EEA or UK you have the rights below. You can exercise any of them free of charge by emailing playneonmind@gmail.com.

Access
Ask what personal data is held about you and receive a copy.
Rectification
Have inaccurate data about you corrected.
Erasure
Ask for data about you to be deleted.
Restriction
Ask that processing of your data be limited.
Objection
Object to processing carried out on legitimate interests.
Portability
Receive data you provided in a portable format. In practice this does not arise here, because nothing is provided to us.

One honest caveat about all of them: because no account exists and no identifier links a request to a visitor, we generally cannot connect a server log entry to a particular person. Under Article 11, a controller that cannot identify a data subject is not required to acquire additional information purely to do so — and collecting more data in order to service a request would defeat the point. If you can identify the relevant records yourself, for example by supplying an IP address and a time window, we will act on it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the EU or EEA, the data protection authority of the country where you live, work, or where you believe the issue occurred; in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not need to contact us first, though we would prefer the chance to fix it.

8. Children

PlayNeon is a general-audience site rather than a service directed at children, and it is built so that a child using it is no more exposed than an adult: there is nothing to sign up for, nothing to buy, nobody to talk to and no personal information to hand over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone of any age, because we do not collect personal data at all. What the games do and do not contain is set out on the content and safety page.

9. Is providing data required?

No. There is no statutory or contractual requirement to provide any personal data, no form to fill in, and no consequence for providing nothing — because the site never asks. The technical request data described in section 2 is an unavoidable part of how the web works rather than something you supply.

10. Changes to this policy

The date at the top of this page is updated whenever the policy changes. Any change that widens what is processed — introducing analytics or advertising, for instance — will be reflected here in the same release that makes the change, not afterwards.
