Browser games, nothing to install
Every one of the nine games on PlayNeon runs as an ordinary web page: no download, no installer, no app store, no plugin and no extension. Because they are plain HTML and JavaScript, they also work on managed school and office machines where installing software is blocked.

What does no download actually mean here?
It means the game arrives the same way this sentence did. Opening a game page fetches a small amount of JavaScript that draws the board and handles input, and that is the entire delivery mechanism. Nothing is written to your file system, no installer runs, no permission dialog appears, and closing the tab ends it completely.
It is worth separating this from two things that also get called browser games. There are no plugins involved — Flash and Unity Web Player are long dead and nothing here revives them. And there is no store wrapper: you do not need an app, an account or a launcher to reach any of it.
Why do these games work on school and work computers?
Managed machines usually restrict software installation rather than web browsing. That policy blocks anything that has to be installed — which is most casual games — while leaving ordinary web pages reachable. A game that is just a web page falls on the permitted side of that line by construction.
Two honest caveats. Some networks run a content filter that categorises sites, and a filter that blocks the games category will block this site along with everything else in it, regardless of how the games are built. And a slow managed network will make the first load slower, though repeat visits are served from the browser cache.
Is a browser game worse than a downloaded one?
For this kind of game, no — and the constraint has been good for it. Everything here is a grid, a board or a simple arcade loop, which is exactly what a browser renders well. There is no 3D engine straining against a web runtime and no asset pack that wants to be a download.
What you give up is the thing these games do not need: gigabytes of textures, background updates and an icon on your home screen. What you gain is that a game is one tap away from any device you happen to be holding, with no install step between wanting to play and playing.
Can I still add PlayNeon to my home screen?
Yes, and it is not the same as installing an app. PlayNeon ships a web app manifest, so your browser will offer to add it to your home screen or desktop. Doing that creates a shortcut that opens without browser chrome; it does not install a package, does not request device permissions, and removing it is deleting an icon.
Once you have opened a game, its files stay in the browser cache, so it starts faster afterwards and can even open on a lost connection. That is described in full on the offline page.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to download anything to play PlayNeon games?
No. All nine games run directly in your browser as ordinary web pages. There is no installer, no app store, no plugin and no browser extension, and nothing is written to your device beyond the normal browser cache and your saved best score.
Do browser games work on school computers?
Usually yes, because school machines typically block software installation rather than web pages, and a browser game needs no installation. The exception is a network content filter that blocks the games category outright, which blocks sites by category regardless of how they are built.
Do PlayNeon games need Flash, Java or any plugin?
No. Every game is built with standard HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, which every modern browser runs natively. No plugin, runtime or extension is required on desktop or mobile.
Can I install PlayNeon as an app?
You can add it to your home screen or desktop as a progressive web app, which creates a shortcut that opens without browser chrome. It is not a package install: no device permissions are requested and removing it is just deleting the icon.
