Play without an account
PlayNeon requires no sign-up: there is no account, no email field, no password and no social login anywhere on the site. All nine games start the moment you tap them, and your best scores save to your own browser rather than to a server we control.

How do scores save if there is no account?
They save to your browser's local storage, which is a small amount of space every site is allowed on the device you are using. Your best score for each game is written there and read back the next time you open the page. It never travels to a server, which means nobody — including us — can see it.
The practical consequence is worth knowing before you chase a high score: progress is tied to that browser on that device. Your best on your phone and your best on your laptop are separate numbers, and clearing your browsing data for this site resets them. That is the honest cost of not having accounts, and for two-minute arcade rounds it is a trade most players prefer.
Why do so many game sites ask you to register?
Because the email address is worth more to them than the game session is. An account creates a retargetable identity, a marketing list and a cross-device profile, and those are assets a game site can sell against. The game itself rarely needs an account to function, which is why the request usually arrives after you have already started playing and are invested enough to comply.
There is a second, quieter reason: registration walls filter out casual players, which makes engagement metrics look better. That is a reporting benefit, not a player benefit.
What does having no accounts actually change?
It removes a category of risk rather than just an inconvenience. There is no password here to be reused or leaked, no email address to end up in a breach dump, no profile to be sold in an acquisition, and no dormant account to be compromised in three years. You cannot lose data that was never collected.
It also changes what the site is legally. A site with user accounts and public, user-chosen names becomes a platform hosting user content, and inherits an entire regime of obligations that comes with it. Staying account-free keeps this a set of web pages that happen to be interactive, which is exactly what it should be.
- No password to create, remember, or have breached
- No email address, so no marketing list and no verification step
- No social login, so no data shared back to a platform
- No profile, so nothing to delete later
- No age gate, because there is nothing to gate access to
Will there ever be accounts or leaderboards?
Possibly leaderboards, but if they arrive they will not use free-text names. Letting players type their own display name turns the site into a service hosting user-generated content, with the reporting workflows, notice-and-action processes and published contact points that follow from it — a large permanent cost for a small feature.
A leaderboard with server-assigned handles gives you the competition without any of that, so that is the direction if it happens. Accounts with emails and passwords are not planned at all.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to play games on PlayNeon?
No. There is no account, no email field, no password and no social login on PlayNeon. All nine games start the instant you open them, and nothing asks you to register before, during or after a run.
Where are my high scores stored without an account?
In your browser's local storage on the device you are playing on. Scores never reach a server, so they cannot be read by anyone else — but they are also per-device and per-browser, and clearing your browsing data for the site resets them.
Can I move my progress to another device?
Not currently. Because scores live only in the browser that made them, your phone and your laptop keep separate bests. Syncing would require an account, which would mean collecting data the site deliberately does not collect.
Are no-sign-up games safe for children?
The absence of accounts removes most of what makes a games site risky for children: there is no profile, no chat, no messaging, no purchases and no personal data collected. Every game on PlayNeon is also single-player and non-violent.
